Put on your dancing shoes, as the Cobequid Cultural Centre's next event will be a Valentine Special on
February 11th, 2012. The Corvettes, a well-loved local band, playing Rock& Roll, 50's and 60's music will be performing at the Multi-Purpose Centre of the Halifax Forum. Tickets are $12.50 per ticket and available from the Forum, Scotiabank, Bedford Village Centre, 936 Bedford Highway and CCS Board members -www.cccas.ca. There will be a door prize, spot dances and a prize for the best period costume. Purchase your tickets early as The Corvettes are amazing and will likely sell out. This event will assist in furthering the vision of the Cobequid Cultural Centre of the Arts Society to provide the people in the North West Region of the HRM and surrounding area with a state of the art cultural centre. This centre will offer local and visiting artists a venue to showcase their talents in the visual and performing arts. Thank you for your support. |

The Sackville Band, a 55 piece wind ensemble whose members include some of the best professional players in the city, is hosting a Valentine’s Cabaret on Sat Feb 11th and I know you’re going to enjoy it. The venue is the Grawood Lounge at Dalhousie and we’ll be performing everything from dance tunes to broadway classics. There will be vocals, instrumental soloists and even a little New Orleans style jazz. We may even invite you to the dance floor during a few of the selections.
Skip the flight to Las Vegas and come to a Cabaret at the Grawood: · Choose your favourite beverage at our cash bar · Select a few finger foods or order something from the kitchen · Settle into the perfect seat and enjoy The Cabaret is from 7-9pm on Feb 11th and tickets are only $20. The event is a fundraiser for the Sackville Band BUT seating is limited so you will have to buy your tickets in advance. |
