This is our annual invitation for your participation in the 2011 Sackville Patriot Days, Canada Day Parade on Friday, July 1, 2011. Last year's Patriot Days events attracted many spectators and participants! In 2009, the parade had over sixty entries, and was a great success for all involved. This year we anticipate a bigger and better parade and even more spectators and participants.
We hope you really enjoyed the parade.
It was a lot of fun, and a fair bit of work, to put together.
I would especially like to thank those who helped put the parade together and to all of the entrants.
A special thank you goes out to the 55+ entries who entered floats, bands, acrobats, fire trucks, motor cycles, classic cars, and everyone else who travelled the parade route.
Congratulations to the winners:

The parade will form up in the Sobey's parking lot at Downsview Mall commencing at 7:30 am and march off at 9 am. The parade will wind its way 2.7 km down Sackville Drive and disperse in the Rock Church parking lot.
We thank you for your positive contribution to the community by participating in this year's parade. You will receive a certificate of appreciation, and, in addition, may be chosen as the winner of one of our twelve trophy categories. If this should occur, you would be awarded a "keeper" trophy at our Awards Ceremony on the 1st of July and would hold the larger category trophy until the next Canada Day parade is organized.
Parade entry forms and instructions are available, below, for you to download and mail or complete and submit on-line. If you need ideas for your float check out www.astroparade.com. They have some good ideas.
This is a great opportunity for you to support the community and, at the same time, create increased exposure and fun for you and your organization or business. I encourage you and your friends and family to get involved in this year's Canada Day Parade. Last year we had approximately 12,000 spectators.
Should you have any questions or suggestions please contact either of us.
Best regards,
