Join your friends at Springfield Lake Recreation Centre as the competition heats up for the best Patriot Days Idol. Prizes will be awarded to winners.

An annual favourite, the adult Street Dance is an event eagerly anticipated by all.

Sunday 27 June

9 am Sackville River Trail Walk
Meet at Lynn Court and join members of the Sackville Rivers Association for a guided walk of the Sackville River Trail. Learn about the flora and fauna found along the trail.
9 am Paws for Canada Dog Walk
Start your day with a healthy walk on the Sackville River Trail beginning at Lynn Crt. The first 50 dogs will receive a patriotic doggie scarf and a treat bag. All dogs must be leashed; owners must clean up after their pets. FMI call Charlene @865-7609. Sponsored by Brenda's Dog Duds and The Chewed Slipper.
10 am - 3 pm Kinsmen Car Show-Sackville
Town Center (Staples)
An annual favourite. Check out some great cars and help support the Kinsmen as they raise funds for several charities.
12 pm Horse Shoe Tournament & BBQ - SLRC
1 pm - 2:30pm 2nd Lake Regional Parks Annual Trail Walk
Join members of the 2nd Lake Regional Parks association for a guided tour of the park. Meet at 12:45pm at the boulders on First Lake Drive.

For junior high and high school students; teams of 3 boys and 3 girls.

Tuesday 29 June

2 pm - 3:30 pm Community Skate Jam
Met Field Skate Park
Hosted by Sackville Recreation, the annual skate jam is a great way to celebrate the last day of school. Bring your board, your helmet and your friends to try for some great prizes.
Dusk Free Family Outdoor Movie Night
Kinsmen Park
Bring your blanket and your whole family as we present: Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs outside, under the stars, at Kinsmen Park. Sponsored by Allstate Insurance.

6 pm - 1:00am Kinfest/ Dance - Kinsmen Club
Dance the night away as you rock to tunes inside the Kinsmen Centre or join your friends outdoors for a nice cold beverage.

We are thrilled to feature Charlie A'Court as the headliner for the free Concert in the Park.

9 am Canada Day Parade - Sackville Drive
Beginning at Downsview Mall and continuing down Sackville Drive to the Rock Church, the annual Canada day parade is a popular event enjoyed by people of all ages. Sponsored by Freshest Subway Limited, Sackville.
11 am Flag Raising/Affirmation - Fultz House Museum
Join the folks at Fultz House for the official Canada Day flag raising and stay for a delicious lunch of baked beans and brown bread.
1 pm - 3pm Teddy Bear Picnic
Kinsmen Park
Be sure to bring your Teddy to Kinsmen Park for the free Teddy Bear picnic. Bounce castles, games, prizes and even a Teddy Bear Medical Clinic. Sponsored by TD-Canada Trust on Sackville Drive.
2 pm Citizenship Court Ceremony

Registration begins at 1pm
A once-in-a-lifetime event, the Citizenship Court is the perfect way to celebrate Canada Day. Watch as new Canadians take their oaths of citizenship. A very moving ceremony.
3:15pm Patriot Days Awards Ceremony
Lions Den
Check out who won what trophy in the Canada Day parade and stay for a piece of cake.
4 pm Steer Barbecue
Lions Den
Get it while it's hot. This delicious steer barbeque goes fast.
